Finishing Unfinished Business (pg. 17)
As if guided by some unseen force for three whole years, I moved back to the farm in Tunica, Mississippi. I found the right architectural plans and a contractor to build a beautiful home on the barn site, the very spot where my father has spent most of his time. Working myself and any willing family member like Hebrew slaves, from sun up to sun down, we cleared away construction debris, planted grass and flowers, and made that spot something to behold.
I dug deeply in the dirt where I found tools, chains, shovels, hoes and all kinds of farm implements which I've carefully restored and saved.
