Wonderfully and Fearfully Made (pg. 1)
When my sister Jackie died, the whole family flayed around the edges. Some of us cried, others lied, and still others went quiet. Me I wrote. Writing is the way I mourn. Like Hannah Ardent, I believe "All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story and allow the story to reveal the meaning of what might otherwise remain unbearable."

As I began thinking about Jackie's life, pictures like movies appeared of our times together. They contained information from every stage of our lives from childhoods to old age. Great stories appeared on the page. I was pleased to remember her and eager to share them with all our family members and friends.
